The goal of the study was to determine if financial literacy should be taught and measured differently for women entrepreneurs to combat existing gender gaps in
financial literacy, and a key finding indicated the financial nomenclature that was used by the participants was different than what is found in academia and finance, which presented a deterrent in the participants acquiring additional financial skills. Another key finding of the study was participants were self-sufficient and passionate in their endeavors when they knew their
numbers and reviewed their finances often.
