The volume offers a broad description of the concepts of gods and God. The reader will be able to meditate on the place of reasoning, experiences, and scriptures in spirituality. He/she will access old and new ideas about divinities and creation stories successively exploring several ancient civilizations, old religions, new religious movements, esoteric movements, as well as the viewpoints of skeptics and atheists. Explanations are given on the ways to know divinities; the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Qur'an, others scriptures and its non-personal nature; the non-pre-existence of Jesus; the nature of God and gods whether angels, demons, Annunaki, Jinns, deified humans, or messiahs; the anthropomorphism of divinities, and the Fatherhood and Motherhood of God. Several religious isms; such as pantheism, monotheism, polytheism, deism, dualism, and henotheism are also assessed and many authentic spiritual experiences are presented. Among several explanations, the book shows how the God of the Old Testament and Moses is not that of the New Testament and Jesus who is similar to the God of Hermes Trismegistus. It also presents the limits of astrology, astrotheology, and messianism.

Dr. Frank Alapini is a thinker to whom a multidisciplinary theoretical and practical knowledge is necessary to create the happiest and most egalitarian society. His main fields of interest are theology, philosophy, music, writing, and medicine. He has earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Faculty of Health Sciences of Cotonou, Benin and a Master of Divinity from the UTS Interfaith Seminary of New York. He is a member of the American Academy of Religion and highly regards the medical oath of doing no harm to others as well as medical and priestly information management.
