Czaplinski

Czapli<’n>ski present students, academics, and researchers with an investigation of two conflicts surrounding the remnants of modernity in Poland since 1989: the search for common tradition and the disappearance of utopia. The author has organized the thirty-four chapters that make up the main body of his text in two sections. The first section examines the remnants of tradition, sarmatism, liberating bodies, and late modernism. The second section is devoted to remnants of the future, literature, and the creation of utopia. Przemyslaw Czapli<’n>ski is a faculty member of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poland.
