Adrian David Cheok AM is Full Professor at i-University Tokyo, Director of the Imagineering Institute, Malaysia, Visiting Professor at Raffles University, Malaysia, Visiting Professor at University of Novi Sad-Serbia, on Technical faculty "Mihailo Pupin", Serbia, Faculty of Ducere Business School, and CEO of Nikola Tesla Technologies Corporation. He is Founder and Director of the Mixed Reality Lab, Singapore. He was formerly Professor of Pervasive Computing, University of London, Full Professor and Executive Dean at Keio University, Graduate School of Media Design and Associate Professor in the National University of Singapore. He has previously worked in real-time systems, soft computing, and embedded computing in Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Japan. In 2019, The Governor General of Australia, Representative of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II, has awarded Australia’s highest honour the Order of Australia to Adrian David Cheok for his contribution to international education and research.
Chamari Edirisinghe is a multidisciplinary researcher with a diverse academic background and more than ten years of research experience. Her passion for human-centred design, participatory research, and cultural anthropology has fuelled her extensive contributions to the academic world. Having earned her PhD from the National University of Singapore, she has worked as a research fellow at a research lab in Malaysia, focusing on human-centred design, user experience, multisensory interactions and participatory design. Renowned for her extensive publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, Chamari’s recent work explored human-centred and responsible AI, ethical best practices, and the implications of these advancements on society. Her research sheds light on the intersection of technology and humanity, emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations in developing and implementing AI. In addition to her scholarly achievements, Chamari has imparted her knowledge and expertise as a lecturer at various state universities in Sri Lanka. Her years of experience in academia have not only enriched her own understanding of the subject matter but have also inspired countless students to explore and embrace the intricacies of her research interests.
