Ted Dikty writes about 1956 in an eerily similar way to how many feel today: ＂People who tried to keep up with the world in 1956-57, to quote the Red Queen in Through the Looking Glass, had to run as hard as they could just to stand still.＂

Ted collected the best SF stories of the year in this final volume of his long running best-of anthology series. Like the quote above, these stories stand the test of time, and touch on topics very much still current.
