Frank Bongiorno is Professor of History and a historian of Australia at the ANU. He is the author of numerous books, including The Sex Lives of Australians: A history and The Eighties: The decade that transformed Australia, both winners of the ACT Book of the Year. His most recent book is the award-winning Dreamers and Schemers: A political history of Australia. Nick Dyrenfurth is Executive Director of social democratic think tank the John Curtin Research Centre. He is the author or editor of many books, including The Write Stuff: Voices of unity on Labor’s future (with Misha Zelinsky), Getting the Blues: The future of Australian Labor and All That’s Left: What Labor should stand for (co-edited with Tim Soutphommasane).
