Relevant. Relatable. Real. Author Rasheda Kamaria Williams is the founder and chief empowering officer for Empowered Flower Girl. She is a communications professional, award-winning mentor and motivational speaker on a mission to transform the way young people relate to one another. Rasheda works with students, schools, communities and families seeking solutions to cyberbullying, drama, relational aggression and other social/communications challenges facing youth. She holds a B.A. in journalism from Wayne State University’s Journalism Institute for Media Diversity. She also has extensive training in youth development, including youth mental health first aid, community relations and interpersonal communication. For more than a decade, Rasheda has been committed to making a difference in the lives of women and children. Since 2001, she has mentored seven girls ages 5 to 19, earning numerous awards for her dedication to community service and social change. A survivor of bullying, Rasheda was featured in Cosmopolitan magazine in the article, "Being Bullied Changed My Life." Her journey from excluded to empowered motivated her to launch Empowered Flower Girl in 2010.
