Having returned from teaching in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Eppie Lopez is currently back in his home state teaching with Albuquerque Public Schools, the largest School District in New Mexico. Lopez has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of New Mexico, a Post B.A. in Education from the University of New Mexico, and a Master of Arts in Teaching-Multiple Subject Teaching from the Rossier School of Education, University of Southern California. Lopez is the recipient of multiple Bilingual Scholarships at the University of New Mexico, awarded Teacher of the Year in Durango, Co., inducted into the Who is Who of American Teachers, and awarded the Ray Romer Teaching Fellowship from the University of Southern California. Lopez ever dedicated to public service while teaching in Colorado volunteered as a firefighter during the summers eventually working his way to staff position, EMT, Emergency Crisis Tech and Incident Tactical Command for the surrounding areas. Lopez an author whose continuous dedication to public service has inspired the beginning development of R.I.S.E global, consulting and curriculum an acronym for Resilience, Inspiration, Self-Efficacy, and Empowerment, key components are culturally relevant pedagogy; Inspiring students to succeed by creating Resilience through practices (curriculum) and incentive based performance campaign, thus building Self Efficacy and finally producing Empowerment. The function of the programs ultimately gives the students a sense of control and empowerment through success in which their lives may lack.
