Amy Magella Gigena is a busy mom of four kiddos who has crazy multi-tasking skills. She spent years in the corporate arena as a business liaison, information architect, trainer, creative director and project manager. She holds a degree in Psychology and is a certified Integrative Health Coach. Also known as a Mama Food Bear, she is passionate about teaching kids healthy habits and is an advocate of clean eating. She is a ball of energy, a free spirit, dreamer, story-teller, adventurer who follows her gypsy soul. She has a never ending ability to connect with people and will make an instant friend of a complete stranger within minutes of meeting. She is brave and well-rounded in spirit having endured unbelievable life experiences, heartaches, warrior moments, extensive travels, and personal losses. As a friend once said about her, "if there is no way, she will create one." Always having an authentic heart, Amy wrote "Heartlight" on a creative whim while working on a book about raising health minded children. It evolved as a creative escape during the writing process and took on a charming life of its own. She was inspired to write "Heartlight" after several unexpected life changes, living in Argentina for half a year, and by the journey of becoming a health coach. Through these experiences, she realized that all people, no matter where they live, are in the same pursuit of something greater and cling to a part of themselves that they may have outgrown. Or they reject a part of themselves that brings them true happiness because external pressure makes them think they need to be more or do more. Moving forward and staying true to our authentic self is the ultimate journey in life. The message of "Heartlight" is told through a love story, but it truly is metaphorically a life story.
