At present, norms have been enacted to confront, investigate, prosecute and punish crimes of gender violence against women, but there is still a lack of knowledge of how the phenomenon behaves at the socio-legal level and how to carry out the criminal investigation of these crimes according to their particular characteristics, aspects addressed in this research. Added to this is the novelty that, although research has been carried out in Cuba in this area, there are works on this type of violence from a sociological, psychological and even legal perspective, they have not been focused from the chosen angle: criminal investigation and whose results will constitute an instrument that will guide the action of the investigative bodies to carry out the criminal investigation of the criminal acts where this type of violence is present. Correspondingly, if methodological guidelines are proposed to improve the investigation of criminal acts involving gender violence against women in Cuba, it would allow guiding the social and legal action of the Investigative Bodies.
