The Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, is dedicated to preserving and continuing the legacy of wood type. Founded in 1880, the Hamilton Manufacturing Company was once the largest wood type producer in the United States. Now Hamilton is home to not only 1.5 million pieces of wood type, but to presses, tools, and equipment to print with the type, along with advertising cuts from the 1930s through the 1970s.
