Everything changed for me when I was 12 years old, my parents died in a tragic car crash and with no other family to take me in, life as I knew it was over. I never thought that things could possibly get any worse, that the pain of losing my parents could ever be matched but I was so wrong.

Words cannot describe the horrors, neglect, and abuse I've faced living as an orphan in the foster care system, passed from house to house, shitty parent to shitty parent.

But if you asked me today if I'd do it all over again, I would...if It meant that I got to meet him, the boy who made my life worth living again. It was fitting that I met Trace on my Sixteenth birthday, and he showed me what it is to live, to have someone care about you, to love and be loved.

This is our story and it isn't pretty, there's drinking, drugs, violence, abuse, sexual situations, and themes involving rape. Fortunately this is not the end, only the beginning.
