After more than a decade of feeling like something went wrong, Cara discovers a concept that's known as repression. While there is no consensus repression is real, she believes that she might have forgotten what happened and then once she decides to press charges for childhood abuse she discovers conjecture is much too subjective. On the one hand she knows that she’s asked what went wrong all her life and that there had been things that she always remembered since childhood, only she couldn't prove that they happened for certain. She remembered that no one believed her back then, and that they weren't inclined to believe her right now, but it was also her plan to remember it later- insuring herself for the rest of her life. The Catalyst is a story of good versus evil in which a girl seeks to send her abusers to prison. It puts a different spin on justice and the concept of free will.
