This book details how he took command over the kingdom of Wu’s army, previously a semi-barbaric state, and helped them become a ’super-power’ of that era. Their principal achievement being the conquering of Chu, the most feared empire of the Spring and Autumn Period. In addition, the book offers some never-before published insights into the thinking behind the man known only as Master of War.
