Thirty years ago the oppressive Order lost control of the four inner planets to the Unity, a protest group gone revolutionary. Now, old hatreds are beginning to stir and the Order is seeking to reestablish its hold on the galaxy.

Meanwhile, childhood friends Jesse and Joan enjoy celebrating their home world’s independence from the Order. That is, until more than just fireworks begin to erupt in the night. As their planet goes up in flames, the two become separated in a galaxy on the verge of chaos.
