Kathie del Hierro calls Austin, Texas home with her husband, two rescue dogs and a bird that landed on her head one day and stayed--appropriately named Lucky for not being a cat snack. She is a traveler, born in Cambridge, England and grew up the daughter of an American telecommunication spy. She lived in 18 different places by the time she was 17 years old. K. del Hierro inherited her father’s keen observation skills and this is what drives her to write. K. del Hierro has always been an artist. Her first love was the piano, but a family move left the piano an ocean away. At age 14 her hands left the keyboard to write poetry and paint. Her oil paintings are sold and shown professionally. Her first book, "Riding Polluto" an epic adventure with an environmental twist, has her original artwork on the cover. Over the past 12 years, she’s worked as a teacher in Austin. She loves being around her teenage students, "My classes are hilarious. We laugh together every day." She is currently working on her second novel in the Psycho Psychic Series.
