Kalkhan

Kalkhan (Colorado State U.) explains how to extract geospatially explicit data from remotely sensed imagery, GIS, and global positioning systems, and extrapolate field data across landscape scale statistical models using geospatial information auxiliary data. An entire chapter is devoted to the R statistical package, and code is provided for statistical examples. The textbook reviews the different types of geospatial information technology and data sampling methods, and closes with four exercises using ERDAS-IMAGINE and ArcView software.
