The Last Enemy is a title taken from 1 Corinthians 15. Death is therein described as the last inescapable, irreversible, traumatic experience common to all humanity. No one is exempted from this enemy that is invisible and impossible to prepare for. No amount of training, education, academic, or spiritual preparation will equip a man or woman for battle with this enemy. The impact and the wounds of this enemy upon an individual are as varied as individuals themselves; and yet, produces many common scars shared by those who walk through the valley of the shadow of death.
