I arrived in 1996 on a student visa, a route that, while not without its challenges, offered me the freedom to pursue my education and dreams with security and structure. Over the years, I earned my associate, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees, fulfilling the very purpose that brought me across the ocean.

For over two decades, I’ve built a successful career in corporate America, grounded in stability and opportunity. Yet, throughout all my achievements, I’ve carried a profound admiration for my husband’s journey.

His escape from Hungary, the hardships he endured in migration camps, and the courage it took to rebuild his life in a foreign land were unlike anything I had experienced. While my journey followed a clear path, his was a bold leap into uncertainty, with no guarantees.
