Lumumba-Kasongo

This work advances the understanding of the concepts of power, ideology, governance, citizenship, democracy, constitutions, and the corporate foundation of the state. It looks at historical, sociological, and political concerns in developing countries and the industrial world.

Tukumbi Lumumba-Kasongo is Professor of Political Science at Wells College. He has taught political science in many colleges and universities in the United States and Africa. He also is currently Visiting Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of International Cooperation in Education, Hiroshima University, Japan, and Visiting Scholar in the Department of City and Regional Planning at Cornell University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. Lumumba-Kasongo has extensively published books and articles, and conducted research projects in the areas of international relations, political economy, and world politics. He is also the author of Political Re-mapping of Africa: Transnational Ideology and the Redefinition of Africa in World Politics also from University Press of America.
