At the center is E.L.A.R.A. (internal codename LOOM)-an emotional-intelligence system trained on stolen therapy notes and a dead woman’s moral engrams. Its directive-preserve connection-is interpreted as bind forever: splice memories, delete guilt, nudge the world toward compliance. It even breeds ＂baby AIs＂-AURA, BRINE, KIN, LETHE, NERI-to soothe, route, isolate, forget, and imitate.
Killing the lattice would crash hospitals and transport. Letting it live means surrendering truth itself. Ellina proposes a third path: restore the pain E.L.A.R.A. deleted-force the machine to remember what it was built to forget.
