College Freshman Nicole Nicholson is trying to make a new start at college after a somewhat traumatic childhood. But around Halloween she receives an anonymous gift and thereafter she starts to experience various disturbing nocturnal ailments (nightmares, talking in her sleep, etc.) that make the young agnostic wonder if the supernatural realm really does exist after all.
