The main objective of this project is to develop a system that is capable of controlling telecommunications equipment that is inaccessible through the operator’s network, so that it can be turned off and on again by cutting the power supply. To do this, the system will be connected to a used cell phone, which, when it receives a call, will automatically answer to receive commands sent by any other phone in a simple voice call. These commands offer the possibility of disconnecting or reconnecting a socket and also checking whether a socket is on or off. To maintain system security, these commands will be preceded by a four-digit password that can also be changed via the call. This system allows eight sockets to be controlled separately, thus enabling only the equipment that is not responding to be restarted on a contingency basis in order to re-establish the access link and, above all, providing an alternative means of access other than the operator’s link.
