In early March, I sat beside my dad in the hospital, not knowing how much time we had left. He spent his entire life providing for us, working nonstop, doing whatever it took. In that quiet room, I asked him a simple question:

＂What was your favorite family vacation?＂

He paused and said, ＂I don’t remember... that was too long ago.＂

I could remember every road trip. Every laugh. Every moment. But my dad, the man who made them possible, had worked so hard that the memories faded for him. He gave everything but didn’t get the chance to fully live the life he built.

When he passed, he left my brothers and me a modest inheritance. Not a lot, just the result of a lifetime of hard work. And all I could think was: I don’t want his legacy to disappear. And I don’t want mine to be a blur either.
