Mary McCashin was born and raised on a horse farm in a small North Carolina town. In addition to her expansive knowledge of horses, cowboys, and agricultural life, McCashin learned at an early age about a work ethic. Being a farm kid taught her how to be diligent and thorough with your work, a trait she has carried forward into her career as a western lifestyle journalist.
