When disaster unexpectedly strikes the Welsh coal mine, Lawrence and Debrah find themselves thrust into a new world. Lawrence discovers work laying rail, forming the railroad across the United States. Their eagerness to find a new life in America is met with struggle and hardship. Through forging new friendships and an enduring faith in God, they find that tying rails on the new railroad is just the beginning.
