Her parents are no longer together, and this will be her first year going to school without Dad at home. Her loving, bigmouthed friend Kashmere Unique and Jamalthe skinny, wide-grinning boy who has liked her from ever since foreverare by Myishas side. Together they will tackle the fifth grade. Middle school will be a challenge. Still, she will get through it. After all, she is Myisha.
