"It’s never too late to follow our dreams!" says 60 year old Pamela Bush about her published Whirlwind Series novels. "I’ve enjoyed writing since I was around 12 years old. Over the years I started many stories, but never finished any. I guess lack of confidence played a big factor." Pamela grew up the youngest of six children in rural Michigan. She graduated in 1972 and married Tom Bush in 1973. They have now completed 41 years of marriage and are currently living in their 28th home. Pam and Tom have two married children and six grandchildren. "My husband and I have been in fulltime ministry since June 1980 and we’ve lived many places including Mexico City and Bolivia, South America. Throughout our ministries and travels we’ve been able to help many people experiencing trials and tribulations, whether physical, emotional, financial, or spiritual." Pamela draws on this knowledge to write novels full of Biblical principals and relevant problem solving to today’s situations. She is an avid reader and always desired to write a novel, but wasn’t motivated until their son Paul’s colon ruptured due to complications from Crohn’s Disease. After spending two months helping care for him, Pamela returned home with health issues of her own. Over the next months she struggled with the issue of God allowing bad things to happen to good people, which lead her to study the Old Testament book of Job. A strong desire to help people cope, coupled with the gentle nudging of the Holy Spirit of God, prompted her to begin writing. A contemporary Christian novel loosely based on the Book of Job soon began emerging in the form of Out of the Whirlwind. Pam and her husband self-published this first novel in 2008. Its sequel, Out of the Snare, was published Feb. 23, 2010. Out of the Mire soon followed in November 2011. The main characters in her fiction novels are named after her four grandchildren - Sarah, Pierce, Abigail, and Hope. Her novels are enjoyed by women, men, and teens. In May 2013, Pamela’s first non-fiction was released entitled -The Fire Within: Fighting Through Adversity. This is the true story of their son’s struggle with Crohn’s disease and how it has affected everyone involved with his life. Now, she’s publishing her first stand-alone contemporary Christian fiction romance/fantasy novel called - Finding Joshua.
