Have you always wanted to know how German Railway (Deutsche Bahn) coats its rail vehicles?
There is a coating standard for this, DBS 918 300, which describes in great detail the properties of the individual coating materials used to paint railway vehicles. However, it contains hardly any direct instructions on how to apply this standard in practice in order to achieve a correct coating structure on the railway vehicle or its components. The aim of this book is to enable the user to understand and apply the relationships between the individual sheets and their range of applications. As no such compilation existed before, I decided to compile my decades of experience in this field in a compact form to give future users a tool for dealing with this standard. This book is a guide to putting the German Railway coating standard into practice.
