This book outlines a six-step methodology to implement a sound internal audit program, including how to get employees to actively participate, how to drive quality system concepts throughout all levels in the organization, and how to manage it so you're not doing all the work.

Robert Pfannerstill is currently Divisional Quality Assurance Manager at Briggs and Stratton Corporation. This book was written about his experiences and successes at implementing an internal audit program at the Murray, Poplar Bluff (MO), and Rolla (MO) facilities, where he had quality responsibilities for three manufacturing facilities of approximately 3,000 employees producing approximately 9 million engines annually. Pfannerstill has a BS in Quality/ Productivity Management from Marion College and an MBA from Murray State University. He is an ASQ-certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and Quality Engineer (CQE).
