This book is dedicated to the treatment of male violent offenders. It begins by explaining possible explanations for violent behaviour developed by various scientific disciplines. In addition to social science and psychological approaches, personality disorders are also considered. Furthermore, the creation of motivation for treatment and applied treatment programmes are presented. The focus is on social work as part of an interdisciplinary treatment setting. At the end of the book, the research question raised at the beginning is answered and potential for improvement is addressed.
