Trends in solid waste management, both in their waste characteristics, quantity and ways of waste processing. This changing pattern described in the composition of this class of waste demonstrates the importance of the separation and characterization of this waste for the successful operation of waste management facilities. In summary, public authorities should develop and maintain all storage facilities in optimal operating conditions so that they do not create unhygienic and unhealthy environments for the communities they serve. Local data on the generation and characterization of solid waste in each city should be known. As the waste produced in each city is heterogeneous in nature, it is necessary to collect and analyze a large number of variables to improve the collection and treatment of solid waste, in order to ensure the optimization of management.
