Lavonne Steckbeck has been a practicing Registered nurse for more than four decades in Indiana and Florida. Having cared for her husband during his battle with Alzheimer’s, she is actively engaged in ongoing research on prevention and treatment of the disease and the experience of the caregiver. Steckbeck is active in onging education and Community involvement efforts focused on improving the experience of Alzheimer’s victims. She is also the proud mother of nine children and currently resides in Florida.
