Cathryn Bond Doyle has spent decades studying and teaching about human behavior. After graduating from the University of Hartford, she became a marketing representative at IBM and then worked for a bank, setting international consumer usage levels for ATMs and debit card acceptance. She went out on her own in 1984 and established an international speaking and consulting career in retail banking.
In 1996, Cathryn became a stepmother. Her focus and life goals changed, and she became passionate about helping other stepmothers expand their self-awareness while strengthening their relationships with their partners and stepkids. Cathryn has invested in more than 1,100 consulting hours with experts to understand her own issues, learn how to address difficult situations and develop new approaches and skills to help stepmothers empower themselves. She founded the support group Stepmoms on a Mission in 2000, which became an online community at www.smoms.org in 2002.
