"Deserting To Canada, Living Underground 1969-1973", tells the story of living and working in a country that did not know I existed. After leaving the US military, ("Losing My Country, Keeping My Soul", 1967-1969, my first ebook) I knew that I could be arrested and deported back to the US at any moment. The Liberal government, under Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, had an obscure policy regarding draft dodgers and deserters. Because of this, I spent four years waiting for the right time to come forward and be accepted by the Canadian government.
