When did love and heartbreak become paradoxical? Perhaps somewhere in August of 2016? When in the same moment you said, "I love you," you turned around and showed me other wise. Or maybe 2 months later? When in the instant I told him, "I just want to be friends," I kissed his lips, painting a whole new picture. Don't Take It Personal, is a memoir. A collection of raw emotion I extracted right from my diary in hopes of sharing with readers exactly what it feels like not only to have your heart torn apart. But also, what it's like to turn around and do the very same, to someone else.

Vanessa Armstrong is currently a chemistry major and philosophy minor at a University in the state of New York. While she is an aspiring Hydrologist, she is also a writer, and musician.
