　　TOEFL Primary測驗是設計給八歲以上學生的英語聽讀能力測驗。作為許多孩子學英文後的第一個正式檢定，本測驗除了增進孩子學習英語的動力，也能幫助老師及家長了解他們學習英語的成效，做為教學、分班和課程規劃的參考。

 

　　本測驗共分二級：

　　Step 1：適合英語初學者，測驗分為聽力及閱讀兩部分，各30分鐘。

　　Step 2：適合已具備一定聽讀能力的學生，測驗分為聽力及閱讀兩部分，各30分鐘。

　　The TOEFL Primary Tests are the latest addition to the TOEFL family. They are designed for young English learners above the age of 8, and can assess their English proficiency as well as stimulate their potential in reading and listening. 

 

　　The tests offer valid and reliable assessments, global-scale results that give information to students’ abilities on an international standard, and a chance to evaluate their learning progress.

 

　　Assessments in different levels are included:

　　Step 1: A paper test for young beginner students. Divided into two parts—reading and listening—each 30 minutes.

 

　　Step 2: A paper test for young students who have acquired some communicative English skills. Divided into two parts—reading and listening—each 30 minutes.
