Sprung from the hills of rural West Virginia, Logan Venderlic weaves his own brand of modern, indie-infused hooks, adds a touch of raw punk energy, and applies it to contemporary Appalachian folk, dubbing the creation "Folk Wave." Since releasing his breakout self-titled LP in 2012, Venderlic has been likened to Jonathan Richman and Paul Westerberg by iTunes, while the Wall Street Journal described it as, "Tom Petty-meets-Appalachia." Venderlic has also been featured in The Huffington Post, USA Today, Relix, No Depression, American Songwriter, and has played NPR’s prestigious Mountain Stage. Venderlic’s next album, Heart Heavy, will be released in 2014.
