Will the truth strengthen the family-or destroy it?

Seven years ago, following a traumatic event involving their daughters, Jane’s sister-in-law Melanie confided a secret. When Jane’s parents arrive in Whitehorse for a long-awaited visit, Melanie’s past resurfaces, threatening to disrupt the family reunion. Jane is torn between safeguarding the secret and forcing it into the open.

The problem is the teenage girl at the heart of that secret disappeared somewhere along the Alaska Highway. Jane’s holiday plans are further derailed by a disgruntled employee, a suspicious worksite fire, and a murder-testing her mettle to the limit.

The search for the runaway teen leads the family from the rugged Chilkoot Trail to the historic gold-rush town of Dawson City. Then, Jane’s niece and daughter go missing. Jane must summon all her courage and resourcefulness to save her family-and compel Melanie to face the consequences of her buried past.
