“Catch it, Jessie,” said Jack throwing a crab to his sister. Then he carried on hunting for another one among the maze of branches and roots.
“Ha, got it!”
Jack and Jessie, the twins, sat together enjoying the juicy crab.
“Let’s catch a big one for Papa,” suggested Jessie. She threw away the shell and moved towards the overlapping roots. Soon she pulled out a crab of decent size.
“This will do,” Jessie said satisfyingly.
When the twins went back to their group, they saw Papa searching on the ground and eating the figs that had been accidently dropped by other monkeys. Jessie looked up at the canopy where her family had not been for a long time.
“It doesn’t belong to us anymore. Let’s find a quiet place where Papa can enjoy his meal,” said Jack.
The monkeys knew the twins well but they just ignored them. They continued their feast in the dense canopy.
