本書特色
工程力學包含靜力學與動力學兩部分，是力學的基礎，不考慮物體受力變形的影響，只探討物體受力與其運動行為之間的 關係，其基本概念就是源於牛頓運動定律。從物體運動狀態來看，當物體靜止或等速運動時，即為靜力學範疇，主要應用牛頓第一定律；當物體有加速度時，即屬動力學範疇，主要應用牛頓第二定律。如果從受力狀態來看，當物體所受外力之合力為零時，稱之為平衡，屬於靜力學範疇；當物體外力合力不為零時，即屬動力學範疇。
本書係《動力學》首次以導讀版的方式呈現，沿襲《靜力學》導讀版的精神，除了強調每章的學習重點外，原則上在每一章節中均重點提示其基本概念，來縮短學生理解與掌握學理的學習時間。如果能完全理解導讀版所強調的重點，應能很容易地進入該章節的精隨，當然，跟所有學科一樣，熟練例題與多做習題才是真正建立扎實基礎的不二法門。
