Liam Hayes, the son of an oil executive, finds himself alone in the Ecuadorian jungle after a car accident. Without survival skills, Liam faces a tough choice; should he remain at the accident site in hopes of being found? Or hitch a canoe ride with an Indigenous tribe he’s been warned to avoid? When Liam spends a summer in the Amazon, he experiences his father’s oil company through the eyes of the jungle inhabitants. It’s a life-changing experience, and for Liam, the consequences of standing up for his beliefs could mean losing his family and the girl of his dreams.
