FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is a spectacular reimagining of the legendary 1997 original. It expands on the first part of the original story, set entirely within the dystopian city of Midgar, and features a modern, high-octane combat system.

The world is under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation that is draining the planet’s life force (Mako) for energy. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit turned mercenary, lends his aid to an underground resistance group called Avalanche. What begins as a mission to sabotage Shinra’s reactors turns into an epic struggle to save the planet and confront a haunting ghost from Cloud’s past: the legendary villain Sephiroth.

• Hybrid Combat System: A seamless blend of real-time action and command-based combat. Players can switch between characters and use the ATB (Active Time Battle) gauge to cast spells or perform special abilities.
