The dashing Lance Meyers loves his job investigating viral outbreaks for the CDC. Women find him irresistible and his life seems quite satisfying. All that changes dramatically when he is assigned to investigate a possible outbreak of West Nile virus near his childhood home in the Pacific Northwest.
