作者簡介:
Edith Hamilton
The world-renowned classicist Edith Hamilton was born in Dresend, Germany, and spent her childhood in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She graduated from Bryn Mawr, where she received both B.A. and M.A. degrees, and then started on a most distinguished teaching career. She regarded as the high point of her life a 1957 ceremony in which King Paul awarded her the Golden Cross of the Order of Benefaction and made her an honorary citizen of Athens. Miss Hamilton died in Washington in May, 1963.
