Alexandria’s Legacy: Sins of the Breeder carries readers to a fantasy world where this question is answered. The first installment in a trilogy that weaves historical romance against role reversal, Sins of the Breeder is set in a world where women rule and men are used for manual labor and sex.

But it’s not the typical sci-fi world of Amazonian women and enslaved men in loincloths. It’s a world of refined elegance and societal structure, where the ruling class of women is prohibited from marrying but has at their disposal a stable of gorgeous, intelligent men with whom they can mate, though their carnal positions are frequently assumed for pleasure rather than procreation.

These men, the Breeders, are carefully chosen, specially trained, and easily discarded by the noble women they serve. And while many hundreds have come and gone unremembered, a few extraordinary men are about to become legends because of the four uncompromising princesses who chose to love them.

The story continues with Part 2 Alexandria’s Legacy: Her Will Be Done and concludes with Part 3 Alexandria’s Legacy: ’Til Kingdom Come.

In 2013, after approximately twenty-five years of working for the same company, the forty-seven-year-old wife and mother lost her job when her company downsized. Luckily, however, she received a generous severance package that gave her the time and freedom she needed to pursue her dream of becoming a published author.

McDane dedicated her newfound free time to rewriting and expanding a project she’d begun nearly twenty years ago as a serial chapter-a-week endeavor to entertain her coworkers, who encouraged her to put her pen to paper.

Reworking that very story into a trilogy, McDane brought forth the Alexandria’s Legacy series. She now celebrates the release of the first book in the trilogy, Sins of the Breeder, which carries readers to a world of historical romance and role reversal to explore the themes of power, love, and gender politics.
